Overview

We are seeking an Intermediate Level Mechanical Engineer to become a part of our team! You will be required to perform a variety of engineering tasks, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase operation efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation and operation of various mechanical systems
  • Repair machine and equipment defects
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Develop and present schematic design proposals
  • Identify technologies to improve operational
  • Document design narratives & engineering analysis
  • Creates, reads and interprets mechanical drawings to include – technical drawings, schematics, and computer generated reports. They also are responsible for researching and analyzing customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, work instructions and other data to evaluate the feasibility of designs and/or applications
  • Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or applications
  • Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles
  • Plans and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
  • Directs and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications
  • Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment
  • Designs products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software
  • Evaluates field installations and recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions
  • Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
  • Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects, and prepare contract documents

Qualifications

  • MUST be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance
  • BS Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficient in design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision drawings, and model
  • 5 years experience in mechanical engineering or other related fields
  • Familiarity with manufacturing designs or schematics
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Experience working with project budgets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Team Player, and the ability to work well with other disciplines as required
  • Oral and written communication skills
